1. About Us
Sociatribe (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is an online platform that enables community owners to manage members, host events, and accept membership payments. The platform is operated by Sociatribe, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. You may contact us at business@sociatribe.com.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for an account, accessing, or using any part of the Sociatribe platform (“Service”), you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them, along with our Privacy Policy.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance.
3. Description of Services
Sociatribe provides community owners (collectively, “Organizers”) and their members (“Members”) access to the following features:
- Member management tools (onboarding, directories, access control)
- Event creation, scheduling, and ticket management
- Membership subscription and payment collection
- Communication and engagement tools
- Analytics and reporting dashboards
Features available may vary based on the subscription plan selected by the Organizer.
4. Accounts and Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at business@sociatribe.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.
5. Fees, Payments, and Billing
Organizers may subscribe to paid plans on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated. Payment processing on the Sociatribe platform is facilitated by Razorpay Software Private Limited(“Razorpay”), a licensed payment aggregator regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. By making a payment through the platform, you also agree to Razorpay's Terms of Service.
- Subscription fees are billed in advance at the start of each billing period.
- All applicable taxes (including GST) are charged in addition to the listed plan price, where applicable.
- You authorise us to charge your chosen payment method for all fees owed.
- Failed payments may result in temporary suspension of your account until the outstanding amount is settled.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by Organizer: You may cancel your Sociatribe subscription at any time through your account settings or by writing to business@sociatribe.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to the Service until that date.
Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except in the following circumstances:
- A technical fault on our part that rendered the Service substantially unavailable for more than 72 consecutive hours during a billing period.
- Duplicate charges or billing errors attributable to Sociatribe.
- Cases where applicable Indian consumer protection law mandates a refund.
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the charge date by emailing business@sociatribe.com with your account details and a description of the issue. Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Member-level payments: Where Members pay Organizers for event tickets or membership subscriptions through the platform, the refund policy of the respective Organizer applies. Sociatribe facilitates the transaction but is not responsible for Organizer refund decisions. Disputes should first be raised with the Organizer; unresolved disputes may be escalated to us.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and rules framed thereunder.
- Transmit fraudulent, deceptive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.
- Collect or store personal data about other users without their explicit consent.
- Circumvent any security or authentication measures of the platform.
- Engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the Service or the servers and networks connected to it.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) without our prior written consent.
- Process payments for illegal goods or services, or in violation of Razorpay's acceptable use policy.
8. Intellectual Property
The Sociatribe name, logo, platform design, and all associated software, content, and materials are the intellectual property of Sociatribe and are protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service solely for its intended purposes.
Content uploaded by Organizers and Members (“User Content”) remains the intellectual property of the respective user. By uploading User Content, you grant Sociatribe a limited licence to host, display, and transmit such content as necessary to operate the Service.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (including Razorpay for payments, email service providers, and analytics tools). These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. We recommend you review the terms of any third-party service you use in connection with Sociatribe.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sociatribe and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claims arising under or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Sociatribe and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the integrity of the Service. Upon termination, all rights and licences granted to you will cease immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Mumbai, Maharashtra, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The language of arbitration shall be English.
Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive or other equitable relief from courts of competent jurisdiction in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and rules made thereunder, if you have any complaints or concerns with respect to the use of the platform or these Terms, please contact our Grievance Officer:

We will endeavour to acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 working days.
16. Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sociatribe with respect to the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
